Ag Noire Awareness Day brought together Ohio’s BIPOC farmers and urban gardeners at the Ohio Statehouse to address critical issues surrounding food deserts, supply chain challenges, and resource access in underserved communities.
Organized in partnership with CommEN Strategies and MyGrowConnect, this statewide urban agriculture awareness and lobby day aimed to connect small-scale farmers with legislators, decision-makers, and each other to advocate for sustainable solutions and equitable agricultural growth.

For this project, I developed a cohesive visual identity to support the day’s activities. My contributions included designing a pitch slide deck, social media flyers, branded banners, and event graphics to drive awareness and engagement.

The goal of the visual branding of Ag Noire was to resonate with the diverse audiences involved, including BIPOC farmers, legislators, and community advocates.

The materials I created played a vital role in establishing a unified, branded presence for the event, leading to future events.
This helped convey the significance of organizing a statewide collective of urban farmers to create pathways to address food equity and economic empowerment across Ohio.

During the event, participants engaged in roundtable sessions, legislative meetings, and networking opportunities to amplify the voices of BIPOC farmers and advocate for solutions to pressing challenges.
